Actions to accompany "Quick Photoshop for Research: A Guide to Digital Imaging"

Once downloaded, open Photoshop and then, under Window on the menu, select Actions or Show Actions.

Remove any action sets that are pre-loaded, such as Default Actions. Click on arrowhead at the upper right of the Actions dialogue box for the drop down menu. Select Clear All Actions. Then select Load Actions, and locate folder into which you saved the downloaded Photoshop-for-Research.atn file to load.

Once the Photoshop-for-Research action set is loaded, again click on the upper right arrowhead to reveal drop down list and select Button Mode. Click and drag edge of Actions dialogue box to create a single column of buttons, then expand the box in order to see all the text on the buttons.

Activate the desired action simply by clicking on the appropriate button.

PLEASE write to me if the actions do not work on your operating system!  I have uploaded the newest set as of May 31, 2005. I have not been able to test these on each and every operating system/platform.  If actions do not work, write me at info@rawlight.com and indicate which operating system you are using, which version of Photoshop and which platform (Macintosh or Windows). If you write, then I can also send you updates from time to time.

To Download:

Some internet browsers will download file when clicked. If, instead, the browser opens the file and you see gobbledegook, then right click or, on single button Macintosh mice, option-click. Select "Save File" or "Save Target File" or some such thing from drop down list.

Templates below need to be loaded with the action set, as well as Symbols.
